lopsided!?!

So Megan suggested i could ask my running questions here. I'm impressed, by the way, with your bloggingness.

So my one leg (calf) hurts and the other doesnt. Do we think i am lopsided? It hurts the day i run and then lessens as time goes on. I think i am a freak. But mainly i can probably still run with it like that right?

thanks!

Ok so not that I'm any sort of doctor, BUT

Does this pain happen everytime that you run? Or have you just started up running again?

Also, what kind of surfaces do you normally run on?

Some things to consider:
1) Our bodies tend to have a dominant leg, just like being right or left handed. I think this evens out though with regular exercise. (I think - rereading this I am going to note that I am not sure if I made that up fifteen years ago or not...)
2)Do you run on a track on a regular basis? Running in the same direction, at an angle can definitely make your legs unbalanced. A solution would be to go the opposite direction on the track.
3) Also, running on the road, but always on the same side of the road (i.e. facing traffic) can make your legs unbalanced as the slope in the road definitely affects those legs.

So make sure that you're 'spicing' up your runs, running on multiple surfaces and stretching.

Glad that you've joined our blog! Happy Running!
